JOHN WILLIAM ""BILL"" DOREY's Obituary
Mr. John William ""Bill"" Dorey of Gumboro, DE went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the Delaware Hospice Center. He was 60 years old. Bill was born on October 30, 1954 in Milford, DE to Ralph W. and Josephine McGee Dorey who survive him. He was the Associate Pastor of the Odyssey Church in Selbyville DE. He also worked as a truck driver for many years. He loved music. He loved to sing with gospel groups, shoot pool and attend and drive at ""Tractor Pulls"". Bill was funny, loving and compassionate and will be missed dearly. In addition to his parents, he is survived by three daughters, Sonya K. Dorey of Gumboro, DE, Melissa Fay Ennis of Gumboro, DE, Candice Marie Rodriguez and her husband Danny of Dover, DE, a sister, Denise Burton and her husband Jim, two brothers, Timothy Dorey and his wife Kim, Keith Dorey and his wife Lorie all of Millsboro, nine grandchildren, Dyland, Carrie, Miranda, Charlie Johannah, Jesus, Mayra, Emily, Alexander, Elizabeth and two great grandchildren, Jeremiah and Elijah. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends. A viewing will be held from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to help offset funeral expenses made payable to Candice Rodriguez and mailed to her at P.O. Box 92, Millsboro, DE 19966.
