We extend our sympathies to the family on Mr. Downe's passing. Surely, he was a man who served his community, his church, and his family. He rests in the arms of God. May fond memories and faith in our Savior sustain his family and friends.
Another Gumboro icon is in attendance at the reunion in Heaven. Mr. Downs was a very quiet and kind man. I recall going to the original Gumboro store and thinking he was the tallest person I had ever seen. The people are lucky to have have such a dedicated man in the Fire Company. May he Rest In Peace in the arms of God. Chester I know this is a huge loss for you. May you be comforted by his memory and love from above.
