JOHN CLINTON HOFFER's Obituary
John "Butch" Clinton Hoffer, 64, returned to his heavenly home on Monday, November 16, 2015 after a valiant battle with a heart condition. Butch was born in Hershey, PA to Jay and Elener Hoffer. He is survived by his parents, five brothers: Bobby, Ed, Jim, Joe and Jerry; and two sisters: Carol Young and Sally Yeagley, and extended families. He is also survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Lynne and five children: John, Josh, Jamie, Nichole and Cindy; grandchildren Trent and Jenna; and best friend Denny Martin, and his wife Patty Martin.
Butch was a kind and loving man. He was the kind of man that would do anything for anyone, no matter the circumstances. He had a passion for muscle cars and motorcycles. He owned and operated an auto repair shop, and contracted seven school busses for the Indian River School District. He loved to spend time with his family, take family trips, go fishing and to ride his Harley.
Friends and family are encouraged to gather for a pre-service viewing from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Watson Funeral Home in Millsboro, DE. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM the same evening. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for prayers and condolences, and any donations or memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
