Obituary of Mr. John Clifton Lathbury:
John Clifton Lathbury, 60, of Georgetown passed away suddenly on March 27, 2016. He was born on September 17, 1955 to John Frank Lathbury and the late Joyce Ann Lathbury in Salisbury, MD. He was a retired poultry farmer, who always brightened your day, was very funny - and was a delight to be around. He completely loved his kids, and served as a family "taxi driver" for anyone needing a ride. He was dependable to help anyone in the family. He loved animals, and his beloved cat "Tom-Tom." In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife Gayle, and seven step-children: David Richter; Dennis Phillips; Christopher Layfield; James Wright; Chester Wright, Jr.; Charles Wright; and Martha Johnson. He is also survived by his siblings: Belinda Pusey, and husband James, of Laurel; Carol Givens, and husband Gary, of Millsboro; David Lathbury, and wife Paula, of Ellendale; James Lathbury, of Ellendale; and Mike Lathbury, of Dagsboro. He also is survived by numerous grandchildren, extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He also has nine great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of His Life will be held at Cupola Park in Millsboro, on April 16, 2016 at 4:00 PM Interment arrangements are private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to either the American Heart Association, or to the Ronald McDonald House because of his great love for kids.
