JOHN ADOLPHUS MILLINER, JR's Obituary
John A. Milliner, Jr. of Millsboro, DE passed away on Monday, December 9, 2013. He was 65 years old. Mr. Milliner was born in Brunswick, GA to the late John A. Milliner, Sr. and Mattie Mae Core Milliner. John retired from Phillips Seafood Restaurant after 18 years of employment as a chef. He moved to Delaware in 1989 from Philadelphia. He was a member of Kingdom Life Family Ministries and also a member of the National Kidney Foundation. After retirement he worked as a barber and landscaper. He loved to cook, sing, and watch westerns. John was well spoken with a resonant voice. He was devoted to his family and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl McQueen-Milliner of Millsboro, DE, three children, John Milliner, III, Amelia Brown both of PA and Christopher Kavenaugh of Peekskill, NY, several siblings and a granddaughter, Hydeyah Stone. A funeral service and celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call after 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. John's 2nd Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Helena Bailey will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the National Kidney Foundation, Finance Dept., 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016. Letters of condolence may be emailed via www.watsonfh.com
