Joseph Brian Manning's Obituary
Joseph Brian Manning, of Millsboro, Delaware, passed away on December 22, 2025, at Beebe Healthcare. He was 64.
Joseph was born on March 4, 1961, in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late John Manning, Sr. and Audrey Williams. After graduating from high school, he proudly served his country by joining the United States Army and continued his dedication to service with over 17 years in the National Guard. Joseph was a devoted employee who dedicated 25 years of his life to Beebe Healthcare where he was known for his commitment and strong work ethic.
Growing up in Baltimore, Joseph was a lifelong fan of the Baltimore Orioles and the Baltimore Ravens, faithfully supporting his hometown teams. He enjoyed shopping and, most of all, spending time with his family, who meant everything to him.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved daughter, Crystal Manning; his siblings, Sharon Forsythe and Louis Manning; and his niece, Jackie Manning.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sonia Manning; his children, Holly Kirby (Martin) and Becky Manning (Charles); and his cherished grandchildren, Kaleb Friend, Jace Speleos, Zoey Speleos, McKenzie Friend, Lyla Kirby, Cash Kirby, Cooper Friend, Tristan Friend, Addison Friend, Wren Kirby, Laney Friend, and Ava Friend. He is also survived by his brothers, John Manning (Diane), Mike Manning (Joanne), Bobby Manning (Karen), and David Manning (Valerie); and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Watson Funeral Home and Crematorium, 211 S. Washington Street, Millsboro, DE 19966, at 11:30 a.m. A viewing will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow immediately at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
Joseph will be remembered for his service, his loyalty to family, and the love he shared with those around him.
