JUDI R HURLEY's Obituary
Judi R. Hurley, Age 52, of Millsboro, DE died October 19, 2012, after a courageous ten-year battle with cancer, at Delaware Hospice, Milford, DE, surrounded by her husband, mother and loving members of the Hurley family. She gave it her all and accepted her fate with dignity and thoughts of others by spending her final days crocheting doilies for family and friends. Born in Easton, Maryland on February 26, 1960, she is survived by her beloved husband, Gregory B. Hurley; mother, Anne P. Rieken; mother-in-law, Shirley Hurley and all the loving Hurley family; brother-in-law, Ed Hurley and wife Robin, brother-in-law, Bill Hurley and wife Nancy, sister-in-law, Connie Lawrence and husband Ron; sister, Nadine M. Rieken; aunt, Nancy P. Masticola; aunt, Elaine P. Flint and husband George; uncle, Allen A. Rieken and wife Phyllis; step-mother, Barbara Templeton; half-sister, Pam; half- brother, Troy; several cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, extended family, and her faithful cat, Snuggles. She was preceded in death by her dad, William C. Rieken, father, William D. Templeton, father-in-law, Edgar Hurley, Sr. and her beloved dog, Bear and cat, Bandit. A 1987 graduate of Seaford High School, Judi attended Delaware Technical and Community College and was employed at Merck International (formerly Intervet). She loved and respected nature's bounty and especially enjoyed her hummingbirds, butterflies, Goldfinches, trees and flowers, beautiful sunrises, sunsets, and rainbows. Trips to Lewes and Rehoboth Beach were always a favorite with her. Judi would be pleased if everyone would plant a tree in her memory or donate to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
