Karen Helen Neely's Obituary
Karen, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully at home on April 9, surrounded by the love of her family.
She was the heart of her family, fiercely devoted to her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her world. She never missed a moment to show her love and support, whether she was cheering from the stands at baseball games, applauding at dance recitals, or simply being present for life’s everyday milestones. She was, without question, their number one cheerleader, and her love was felt in every hug, every smile, and every proud moment she shared with them.
Karen worked for many years as a sales representative for Nabisco, where she built lasting relationships and was known not only for her dedication, but for the genuine kindness she showed to everyone she encountered.
She was truly a friend to everyone she met; selfless beyond measure and always putting others before herself. She had a rare and beautiful way of making sure everyone around her felt happy, cared for, and never alone. Her warmth, generosity, and bright spirit could light up any room, and people were naturally drawn to her.
Known for her warm and bubbly personality, Karen made a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to know her. The love she gave so freely will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, and all those whose lives she touched.
She is survived by her three children, Kimberly (Mark), Joey (Amy), and Christopher (Kara); and her five grandchildren, Dylan, Grace, Owen, Hadley, and Harper. She is also survived by her father, William R. Baker; her sister and best friend, Susan Killen(Roy); her twin brother, Kevin Baker (Cathy); and her brother, DJ Baker(Debbie). She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathryn Baker, and her husband, Skip Neely.
There are no words to fully capture the depth of her love or the loss we feel. She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and endlessly cherished.
A service will be held Saturday, May 16, 11am at High Tide Church 28000 9 Foot Road, Dagsboro, DE 19939.
