I met Kelley my freshman year of college the early 80s girls that we were. She was one of very few other Sussex county students at our small college. She had a particular connection to my hometown of Laurel at the time even though she resided in Dagsboro then. We became fast friends and eventually roommates for the duration of my college life at Goldey-Beacom. She was the sweetest soul you could ever meet, we had lots of similar interests in Music, the Cowboys and even got me to like to Phillies for a bit. And as with Delaware, the longer we knew one another the more people we found in common along with things we enjoyed. As the years passed we would go longer periods of time between catch ups. But she was one of those people the time never mattered its like we just had lunch a week ago and no time had elapsed at all. My heart breaks for her parents having to endure the ultimate loss that of a child's passing. Kelley is definitely flying with the angels now, may she rest in eternal peace, and may God console Linda, Wayne and all her loved ones at this most difficult time.
