Kenneth A. Pickering's Obituary
Kenneth A. "Ken" Pickering, born on July 31, 1963, in Hockessin, DE, bid farewell to this world on Friday, April 19, 2024. He was the beloved son of the late Kenneth A. and Eleanor (Pritchett) Pickering.
Ken lived a life colored by simple joys. His love for fishing was immense, often finding solace and contentment by the water's edge. He cherished the time spent with friends and family during these fishing escapades, finding joy in every catch and every story shared.
A true marksman, Ken found pleasure and skill in trips to the shooting range. Whether honing his accuracy or simply enjoying the thrill of the sport, these moments brought him a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment.
A food connoisseur through and through, he savored the delights of cuisine from all corners of the world. His appreciation for fine dining and culinary craftsmanship was evident in every meal shared.
Ken cherished spending quality time with family and grandchildren, creating lasting memories at Disneyworld and exploring the wonders of the great outdoors. These moments of joy and adventure will forever be treasured by those whose lives he touched.
In the hearts of those he leaves behind, Ken's memory will forever burn bright. He is survived by his loving wife, Judith A. Pickering, and his cherished children: Stephen Novak (Jamie), Jameson Pickering (Tori), Hunter Pickering (Stephen), and Samantha Kibler (Tim). His legacy continues through his adored grandchildren: Gianna, Averie, Kameron, Kinsley, Kaleb, Lila, and Daisy, his brother David Pickering (Sheila) and his nephews, Stephen and Matthew.
Ken is reunited with his son, William Novak, and his beloved parents.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 1:00 pm, at Bethel Tabernacle Church of God in Frankford, DE. In honoring Ken's life, may we find solace in shared memories and comfort in the legacy he leaves behind.
