Kimberly Ann Bolden's Obituary
Kimberly Ann Bolden, 36, of Lewes, Delaware, passed away on April 18, 2025, at Bayhealth Hospital in Milford, DE, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1989, in Lewes, DE, Kimberly brought a special light and warmth into the world from the very beginning. A proud graduate of Sussex Technical High School, Class of 2008, Kimberly was a talented softball player who cherished her time on the field. Her passion for caring for others led her to earn her Associate’s Degree and LPN certification, allowing her to work as a private duty nurse—a career that perfectly matched her servant’s heart.
Kimberly was a woman of deep faith, always seeking to lift up others and give back to her community. She was a dedicated volunteer, especially known for her annual involvement with the Anti-Drug March in Georgetown. Her generosity of spirit and compassionate nature touched countless lives.
More than anything, Kimberly adored her family. Whether spending time with her beloved mother, siblings, nieces, and nephews, or cheering on her nephews at their sporting events, she poured her love into every moment. Her weekends were often spent “yard sailing” and thrifting- the girl loved a good deal.
Kimberly was fun-loving, outgoing, bright, and fiercely loyal. She had a spunky personality and a strong sense of purpose, often serving as the “voice of reason” within her family. She had a natural gift for keeping everyone grounded and gently guiding them back on track. Her love of animals was also evident in her devotion to her two dogs, Trech and Shauny, who she loved as her own children.
She is survived by her parents: Pamela Ann Coleman and Shawn Coleman; her father, Howard Wise; her siblings: Tomekia Bolden, Tyki DeShields, and Shawnee Walker; her aunts: Lisa, Sarah, and Ardie; her cousin, Troy Bolden; her grandparents: Leon Harmon, Sue Thomas, Denise and Julian Peacock, and Tyrone Coleman; her companion, James Boyer, and son, Jeremiah Boyer; eight nephews, four nieces, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and cherished friends who will all deeply miss her presence, laughter, and unwavering love.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 1:00 PM at St. John 2nd Baptist Church, 26602 Mt Joy Road, Millsboro, DE 19966, where a viewing will begin at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow services at the church cemetery.
