Lawrence Earl Guyer's Obituary
Lawrence Earl “Larry” Guyer, 74, of Delmar, DE, passed away on September 22, 2025. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on April 17, 1951, Larry was the beloved son of Helen Dooner and Earl “Bud” Guyer.
Larry was a proud graduate of Temple University, where he earned his undergraduate degree, and later continued his education at Drexel University, receiving his MBA. A dedicated professional, he worked for many years as a Certified Public Accountant, known for his integrity, intelligence, and commitment to excellence.
Beyond his career, Larry had a passion for life’s simple joys. He was an enthusiastic cook who loved sharing meals with family and friends, and an avid squash player who relished the challenge of the game. Larry also gave generously of his time, volunteering regularly at the Epworth Methodist Church soup kitchen.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by Sandra Valdes Page, his former wife. He is survived by his children, Robert Guyer (Gina) and Lauren Guyer Wilcox (Jeremy), from his marriage to Sandra; his brother David Guyer; his cherished grandsons, Alexander and Maxwell Wilcox, and Wesley Guyer; and his longtime companion, Idyll Patz.
