LEE A BLISS's Obituary
Mr. Lee A. Bliss of Millsboro, DE passed away at home on February 2, 2013 surrounded by his family. He was 90 years old. Mr. Bliss was born in Troupsburg, NY on October 7, 1922 to the late Glenn and Edith Cady Bliss. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sons, Jeffrey Wayne Bliss and Gary L. Bliss and siblings, Arbutus, Rebecca, George, Mahlon, Russell and Forest. He was a Veteran of the Military, and served in the Army Air Corps, which later became the US Air Force. Mr. Bliss retired as a machine maintenance tech for Ingersoll Rand, Fassett, and Bendix after 28 years of service. He also worked for NCR locally. He was a machinist mechanic for many years. He restored and re-wired broken lamps for Dennys' Electric. He was a workaholic and loved to work multiple jobs. He was devoted to his family. He could joke along with the best. He loved horses and knew a lot of horse jokes. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Wanda Bliss of Millsboro, DE; seven children; Helen Taylor (Edward) of Bloxom, VA, Susan Herbst (Charles) of Bridgeville, DE, Mary Eddy (Eddie) of Pine City, NY, Janice Calloway (Chris) of Laurel, DE, Judy Cook (Brian) of Greenwood, DE, David Bliss of Georgetown, DE, Laurie DeFrancisco of Millsboro, DE, half-brother, Dennis Bliss(Janice) Tioga, PA. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, extended family and friends. Services will be private.
