Lillie R. Davis' Obituary
Mrs. Lillie Roma Davis, 72, of Oak Orchard passed peacefully away at home surrounded by her family and beloved friends. She was born on November 20, 1939 on the Indian River to the late Robert Clinton and Coreliza Clark Wright. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, and was an accomplished piano player with an especially noted fondness for gospel music. She was a graduate of the Haskell School in Lawrence, KS. Known for her perfectionist traits in cleaning, she kept an immaculate house. She was a member of the Nanticoke Indian Association. She was devoted to her family, especially her grand-daughter Lakota, who was ""her heart."" She will be greatly missed, and was greatly loved. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, William A. Davis; and a daughter: Sandy Norwood and her husband, Trantino, of Millsboro; and a grand-daughter: Lakota Norwood. She is also survived by her sister: Conchita Mae Clark, of Lewes; three brothers: Charles Lee Wright, and his wife Odette; Dallas Nathaniel Wright and his companion Chris; and Robert Clinton Wright, Jr. and his wife Anita - all of Millsboro. She was preceded by two sisters: Ireatha Ann Wright in 1937; and Carrie M. Davis, in 2010. She is survived by a host of extended family members, and many, many beloved friends across the area. She also leaves her little canine friend, ""Zoe."" A funeral service, and Celebration of Her Life will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at the Watson Funeral Home; 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966 at 2:00 PM, where friends may call from Noon until 2:00 for visitation and viewing. Rev. Claudia Waters of Harmony U.M.C. will officiate. Interment will follow at the Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery in Millsboro. Floral tributes are welcomed. Letters of condolence may be e-mailed via www.watsonfh.com
