Linda Kimak Gummel's Obituary
Linda Kimak Gummel, 66, of Millsboro, Delaware, passed away at home on January 23, 2026. She was born on April 2, 1959, in Brooklyn, New York, and was the beloved daughter of the late George and Rose (Botiglione) Kimak.
Linda worked for many years as an office manager for MetLife, where she was known for her dedication, organization, and strong work ethic. Outside of work, she found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved doing puzzles, shopping, watching crime shows, and anything Disney-related, especially trips to Disney World. Time spent at the beach brought her great happiness and peace.
An avid animal lover, Linda cherished her dogs and cats, who were a constant source of comfort and companionship. Her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband, John Thomas Gummel, Jr., her sister, Phyllis Hollenbeck, her brother-in-law Robert Hollenbeck, her niece, Julia Hollenbeck, and her nephew, Robert Hollenbeck, Jr.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Watson Funeral Home and Crematorium, 211 South Washington Street, Millsboro, DE 19966. A viewing will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
