LORETTA MARIE CAPUANO's Obituary
Loretta Capuano(Parlon) died peacefully at home in Millsboro, DE on December 17th at the age of 80 with family and friends by her side.
Loretta is survived by her sons, Anthony Capuano (Marlo) of Sidney, OH and Christopher Capuano (Marina) of Centerville, MD and 6 grandchildren, Vincent, Carlotta, Claire, Cecelia, Olivia and Elizabeth. She is preceded in death by her husband Anthony and son Mark.
Loretta was born February 16, 1936 in Washington DC to John and Augusta Parlon. She graduated from Notre Dame High School and married Anthony Capuano in 1957.
In 1960 she founded Loretta's School of Dance which enabled her to share her passion and love of dance with many area children. Loretta was an accomplished choreographer, director and costume designer. She worked in many theatre groups around the DC area including Montgomery College, Chris Mar Players and was the Founder of the Muses Rage Theatre Company. Her many talents provided a vehicle for others to shine in theatre and the arts.
Family and friends may call for viewing and visitation on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 and Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM and Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Watson's Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington Street, Millsboro, Delaware. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 12:00 PM on Thursday, December 22nd at Mary Mother of Peace, 30839 Mt. Joy Road, Millsboro, DE 19966. Interment will follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Vitas Hospice of Delaware. The family would like to thank Lisa Maglione, Channell Grey and the staff at Vitas Hospice for all their care and dedication.
