LOUIS ROSS BROWN's Obituary
Mr. Louis Ross Brown, age 81, of Millsboro, DE, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014. Born in Camden, NJ on 8/9/1933 to the late James S. and Winifred W. Brown. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his son Ross, grandson Jesse, granddaughter Kali and his brother Clark. He was a veteran of the US Navy, serving during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the W.L. gore Company, where he proudly served as the Machinist who built and serviced the machines that Gortex is made on. In later years he served Millsboro and the surrounding communities during his tenure with Melson Funeral Home and Watson Funeral Home where he was still employed. He energetically served ""round the clock"" responding to people at a time of loss. He had a marvelous reputation as being kind, compassionate, and very gentle. He was much loved, and will be sorely missed. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Frances J. (nee Hawkins), son Cameron (Kathleen), daughters Marcia Boutin (Brian), Leigh Annand, Lauren Brown, and Valerie Snook (Jeff) and his brother Stanley (Renee). Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call after 10:00 AM. Burial to follow at 1:00 PM at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 100 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE 19966. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963 .
