Louise V. Harris-Holden's Obituary
Louise V. Harris-Holden, 65, of Frankford, DE, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2025. She was born on November 27, 1959, in Lewes, DE, to the late Thomas King and Louise Snead Harris.
Louise was a dedicated homemaker who also worked at Showell Farms in Maryland, Harrison House in Georgetown, DE, and Mountaire Farms in Millsboro, DE. She found joy in shopping on QVC, watching her favorite home makeover shows, crocheting, and cheering on basketball games alongside her children and grandchildren. She was a devoted member of Dominion Church of Delaware.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Brady Harris and Michael T. Harris; her parents-in-law, Henry and Mary Holden; and her sisters-in-law, Marilyn Holden and Vernetha Holden.
Louise leaves behind her loving husband of 47 years, Henry Holden III; her children, Marvin Harris (Shari) of Millsboro, DE, Steven Harris (Toemiese) of Salisbury, MD, Tysha Cannon (Dame) of Georgetown, DE, Jennifer Harris of Millsboro, DE, and Kie'ja Dixon of Millsboro, DE. She is also survived by her siblings, Andrew F. Harris (Constance) of Millsboro, DE, Emory Harris of Seaford, DE, James E. Harris of Dover, DE, Jane E. Harris of Milton, DE, Lavern Harris of Georgetown, DE, Emma Holden (Junior) of Harbeson, DE, and Ruby Marshall of Georgetown, DE. Louise was a proud grandmother to ten grandchildren: Shania Kellam, Little Steve Harris, Amiadh Harris, Jasiah Harris, Chris Justice, Jawan Justice, Tamia Justice, Jeremiah Harris, Isiah Dixon, and Ayaina Harris. She also leaves behind a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Watson Funeral Home and Crematorium in Millsboro, DE. Services will be privately held at a later date.
Louise’s warmth, kindness, and love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
