Krissy Volker
I was lucky enough to call the young woman who graduated high school with me a friend. I was a bridesmaid at her wedding to Bruno, and am delighted to see their marriage lasted 56 years. (I'm on #53 with my husband Don, also a fellow Wallington High School graduate. We live in Lincoln, California., have 2 sons and 2 grandsons.)
I remember how nervous Lucy was on her wedding day, and frustrated with her "professional" coiffeur, which didn't accommodate her beautiful veil's crown. Encouraged by her girlfriends, she undid the bogus hairdo and fixed it herself...and looked like a queen. In my eyes, Lucy was a quiet but deep person, kind, and generous. I hope her memory is cherished by her family & friends, as I cherish the brief time I knew her. My heartfelt condolences to Bruno and her children, grandchildren, & brother Eddie.
