MABLE BAILEY's Obituary
Mable Bailey, of Harbeson, Delaware daughter of the late Reverend George and Harriet Bailey was born on May 22, 1937 in Jamesville, Virginia. Mable attended the public schools in North Hampton County, Va. Mable departed this life on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, Delaware, she was 77 years old. Mable was employed at Townsend Incorporated for approximately twenty years until she retired. Mable then went to work for the day care center in Georgetown, Delaware for a few years until she decided to retire permanently and become a homemaker for husband and children. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years James L. Bailey on February 17m 2014. Mable leaves to cherish her fond memories, her babies beginning with the first born, Kenneth Lee (Doreen) Bailey, of Millsboro, De, Patricia Ann Bailey (son-in-law) Eddie Ames, of Seaford, De, Vina Mae Bailey of Harbeson, De, Barry Louis (Deborah) Bailey, of Milford, De, Larry Lee ( Darlene) of Millsboro, De., and Vincent Maurice Bailey of Harbeson, De. Fourteen grandchildren: Cornell Bailey, Ausha Bailey, Julie Ann Jones, Melvin Lee Jones, Jr., Alaya Jones, Latoya Hopkins, Marvin Short, Shontae Short, Jermaine Donshell Harris, Donsha Maurice Bailey, Larry Lee Bailey, Jr. Cortez Vann, Phillipa Vann, and Kywine Vann. Eleven great grandchildren, one sister; Mary Jackson of Millsboro, De; three sister-in-laws Joanne Harris, Leonara Bailey both of Millsboro, De., and Mary Bailey of Harbeson, De., and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, October 19th, 2014 at St. John's 2nd Baptist Church at 2pm where family and friends may pay their respects one hour prior to service. Reverend Annie Jane Custis will officiate. Burial will be held on Monday, October 20th at 10am in the St. John's 2nd Baptist cemetery.
