Margaret Jane Elliott Nickerson
Margaret Nickerson, 76 of Millsboro, Delaware passed away on October 8, 2023 in Wilmington, Delaware. She was born to Rudolph and Ella Mae Patterson Elliott on January 15, 1947, in Nassau, Virginia.
She is preceded in Death by her parents, a sister Lillian Marsh and her sweet dog Heidi.
Margaret spent many years working for the Family Court in Sussex Co., Delaware where she retired several years ago. She loved spending time with her family and crocheting.
She leaves behind her husband William Nickerson III of 28 years, 2 daughters, Tracy Graef of Felton, Delaware and Dawn Dlugo of Germany. 2 Step children, Billy Nickerson of Bristol, Tennessee, and Kristen Nickerson of Newark, Delaware. 6 Grandchildren, Tiffany (Alan) Landis, Hunter Draper, Jonathan Taylor, Brandon Taylor, Rain Nickerson & Airi Wood, 4 great grandchildren, Aaron Landis, Charlotte Landis, Melony Landis and Mia Taylor. 1 brother, Tommy (Diane) Elliott of Millsboro, Delaware a sister Linda Daniels of Wilmington and brother in law – Walter Marsh of Claymont as well as 6 sister-in-laws. Mary Ellen Anderson and Cynthia Achuff of Boothwyn, Pa, Karen and Lisa Nickerson of Kennett Square, Pa, Ann Marie Ennis of Newark, De & Susan Lujan of Aston, Pa. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her sweet dogs Molly and Wiggles.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 16, 2023, at the Watson Funeral Home & Crematorium, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
