Marianne L. Manning's Obituary
Marianne L. Manning, of Bishopville, MD passed away in the care of her family at home on April 5, 2011. Born in Frostburg, Maryland on November 28, 1939, she was the daughter of the late William L. and Kathryn Sheetz Plummer. She was an immaculate, dignified lady who was devoted to her ministry in serving within her Church family, and at area nursing homes. Everybody loved her smile, and the twinkle in her eyes. She loved gardening, fishing, shopping and was very tasteful with her clothes and jewelry. She was an animal lover. She was very devoted to her family, and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband, Elmer Manning and three children: William L. Curtis; Donald P. Curtis; and David E. Curtis, and their wives, Janice, Karen and Tammy respectively. Four step-children: Doug Manning; David Manning; Shirley Stewart; and Gene Manning and their spouses. She was preceded by her brother: Donald Plummer. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Josh, Jake, and Jessie Curtis; Ashley, Katie, Rebekah, and Rachel Curtis; Brandon Miller; Sarah Matthews; Lexi Shaub and multiple step-grandchildren. In addition: great-grandchildren Jaya Shaub and D'Andre Matthews. She is also survived by her feline friends: Ginger and Penelope; and was preceded by beloved canine friend, ""Buffy."" A home going funeral service and Celebration of her Life will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St. Millsboro, DE where friends may call from 10 AM till 11:00 AM for viewing and visitation with the family. Luncheon to follow in Berlin, MD. Interment follows on Thursday, April 12 at the Lakemount Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville, MD.
