Obituary of Mrs. Marie E. Decker
Marie Ellen Decker, 93, of Lewes and previously of the Philadelphia area, passed away on Sept. 25, 2015 at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, DE. She was born in Greenville, OH to the late Henry Samuel and Ruth Cool Flora on Jul 31, 1922. Marie was a lovely, strong willed lady who knew how to hold her ground and succeed. She liked sewing, arts and crafts, listening to music, and most of all devoted to her family for whom she enjoyed cooking and baking. She loved people, and sharing family stories. She is married to Robert T. Decker, who survives her. She is survived by five children: Mary Belmont, of Philadelphia, PA; Joseph E. Mistalski, of Millsboro, DE; Stephen A. Mistalski, of Wallingford, PA; Paul Bryan Jones Mistalski, and his wife Sharon, of Taos, New Mexico and Anne M. Benner, and husband H. Ray, of Souderton, PA. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, and 33 great-grandchildren as well as many extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by a sister: Evelyn Austin; and brothers: Robert Flora; Lloyd Flora; and Earl Flora. A time of viewing, visitation and sharing will be held from 1:00 PM till 4:00 PM at the Watson Funeral Home; 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966 on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015. Floral tributes are accepted, or in lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions to a charity of your choice.
