MARIE MORRIS BUNTING STEPHENS's Obituary
Marie Morris Bunting Stephens, 87, of Millsboro, Delaware, died peacefully at Beebe Medical Center on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 from renal failure and lung complications. She was the daughter of the late Harold and Mildred Morris, born May 30, 1928 in Bishopville, Maryland. Marie attended a private all girls high school in Gettysburg, PA and graduated from Harcum Junior College in Bryn Mawr, PA. She worked for Dr. Asher B. Carey and Dr. James K. Kramer in Selbyville, DE for 27 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Harold Morris Bunting. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Robert Stephens of Millsboro, DE; five children: C. Coleman Bunting, Jr. and his wife Dawn of Selbyville, DE; Chester F. Bunting and his wife Barbara of Boulder, Colorado; Elaine B. Gordy and her husband Chuck of Salisbury, MD, Jeffrey Stephens of Newark, DE, and Brian Stephens of Easton, MD; seven grandchildren: Thomas, Dana, Daniel, Alyssa, Connor, Monica and Cara; four great grandchildren: Abigail, Griffin, Megan, and Ryan. A graveside service, officiated by Pastor Cliff Toomey of Sound United Methodist Church, will be held at the Bishopville Cemetery in Bishopville, MD on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 11:00 am. Casual attire is appropriate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 111 S. Independence Mall East, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
