Marjorie J. Carrafa's Obituary
Marjorie J. Carrafa, age 101 of Millsboro, DE, passed away on October 1, 2023, at Cadia Healthcare Renaissance. She was born on February 16, 1922, in Bethlehem, PA, daughter of the late Andrew and Grace (Haas) Jamicky.
Marjorie attended the Modernella Beauty Academy in Upper Darby, PA before marrying Ignatius Carrafa in 1941. She dedicated her life to raising her family and always being there for them with love and support. Ignatius and Marjorie cherished 44 years together before his passing in 1985. Marjorie loved cooking and baking for her family, her cats, and listening to music on the radio. Marjorie always said she wanted to live a long life, and after 101 incredible years, she did just that. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she is preceded in passing by two sons, Lawrence and John Carrafa. She is survived by her daughter: Marie Carrafa Galanti; her daughter in law, Theresa Carrafa; five grandchildren: Robert Garrity (Vickey Sue), Rosemarie Garrity Carlin, Donna Hand, Christine Carrafa, and Joseph Carrafa; nine great grandchildren: Stefan Garrity (Melissa), Timothy Garrity (Sandra), Jessica Garrity, Matthew Carlin, Brianna Carlin, Ava Carlin, Ryan Carlin, Antoinette Hand, and Ashley Hand; and five great-great grandchildren: Landon Garrity, Gavin Garrity, Selena Cannon, Gabrielle Schappel, and Sophia Schappel.
