Mary Florence Brittingham Elliott's Obituary
Mary Florence Brittingham Elliott, a resident of the Methodist Manor House of Seaford, DE, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2012. She was 95 years old. Mrs. Elliott was born on May 19, 1917 in Gumboro, DE to the late George C. and Maggie E. Lynch Brittingham. She worked as a lab technician for the DuPont Chemical Co. for 32 years. She was formerly active in the American Legion Auxiliary and the Laurel Senior Center. She was an Orioles fan who loved baseball statistics and facts. She enjoyed gardening, traveling with the senior center gang, crochet and cross stitch. She is survived by a son, George M. Elliott of Lewes, DE and also a daughter, Rachel Elliott Waller and her husband Ronald L. of Laurel, DE, a sister, Edna Lewis of Willards, MD, four grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Also survived by extended family members and friends. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 25, 2012 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call after 10:00 A.M. Pastor Barbara Wilson will officiate. Burial will follow at the Millsboro Cemetery, Millsboro, DE. Flowers are welcome.
