Mary Lee Tanzola's Obituary
Mary Lee Tanzola of Millsboro, DE, passed away on October 25, 2025, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, DE. She was born in Newark, NJ, on October 14, 1946, daughter of the late Armando and Lucy (Toscano) Fratini.
Mary worked as a Benefits Administrator in the pharmaceutical industry, where her professionalism and kindness touched many lives. In retirement, she remained active in her community as a member of the Garden Club and as a former secretary of her homeowners’ association. She devoted much of her time to charitable work, volunteering with Meals on Wheels and helping at the soup kitchen at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Millsboro.
Mary loved spending time at the beach, feeling the sand beneath her feet and the ocean breeze on her face and traveling. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family and friends, who brought her great joy throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her beloved husband, Matthew C. Tanzola; her children Joseph and Kristina and her fiancé Charles; her sister, Eliza Menafra; and her best friend, Rosemary Pucciuto.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 12:00 PM at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 110 W. State Street, Millsboro, DE 19966, with visitation from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM prior to the service with a reception immediately following at the parish hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mary’s memory to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 422, Millsboro, DE 19966.
