Obituary of Mrs. Meriedith Marlene Street
Meriedith Marlene Street of Lewes, DE passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Beebe Health Care in Lewes, DE. She was 82 years old.
She was born in Lewes, DE. to the late William E. and Sarah A. Wright Miller. She was a domestic technician/homemaker. She, along with her husband Charles, raised six children. Meriedith went back to school and obtained her GED later in life. She was devoted to taking care of her husband and family. Meriedith enjoyed sewing, crossword puzzles, flower gardening, traveling, cooking, shopping, listening to contemporary Christian music, attending church and watching TV.
She will be remembered as a devoted, quiet, giving, loving, caring, and Godly woman. A wife, mother, grandmother, sister, Aunt and a friend who will be dearly missed. Meriedith is survived by her loving husband of 62 years. Charles E. Street, Sr. Of Lewes, DE and six children: Brenda L. Norman (David Sr.) of Lincoln, DE; Annette M. Street (Elmer) of Lewes, DE; Charles E. Street, Jr. of Lewes, DE; Kevin D. Street of CA; Regina R. Harmon of AZ and Rocinda L. Johnson (Marty) of Millsboro, DE.
She is also survived by three siblings; Frederick R. Miller (Beatrice) of Millsboro, DE; Sarah J. Jackson (Delvernie Sr.) of Seaford, DE and Lillian M. Morris of Georgetown, DE.
Meriedith also leaves behind six grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A funeral will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 2nd, 2022 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St. Millsboro, DE. 19966. Friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM for viewing and visitation. Interment will follow at Indian Mission Cemetery.
