Michael Edward Hurley's Obituary
Michael E. “Mike” Hurley, 59, of Crisfield, Maryland, passed away peacefully surrounded by love and friendship. Born on May 29, 1959, in Crisfield, MD, he was the beloved son of the late William East Hurley and Frances Elmyra Hurley (Wall).
Mike was a kindhearted, loveable man whose warmth, humor, and generosity touched everyone he met. He dearly loved his family and his girlfriend and soulmate, Kelly Yeomans-Mackey. The two shared a rare and beautiful connection built on genuine love.
Mike was a licensed HAM radio operator, a passion that reflected his curiosity, skill, and love of connecting with others. He also worked as a Shoreman.
Mike’s generosity knew no bounds—he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His kindness and compassion made him beloved by the staff, employees, and residents at Ocean Grove Post Acute (formerly Atlantic Shores). Following his passing, many came forward to share their condolences and memories, a true testament to the lasting impact of his spirit.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his brother, William Allen “Bill” Hurley, who passed in 2023. He is survived by his loving girlfriend and partner of nearly two years, Kelly Yeomans-Mackey, his brother James B. “Gig” Hurley, Sr. and his nephew, James “Bennett” Hurley, Jr., along with many cherished friends who will miss him deeply.
Mike will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the love he freely gave to all who knew him. His legacy of care and connection will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.
