MICHAEL G ZONKO's Obituary
Mr. Michael G. Zonko of Milton, DE passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016. He was 70 years old.
Mr. Zonko was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on September 12, 1946.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and after the Navy he began work at Delaware Department of Transportation as an equipment operator. He retired in 2008. He was a member of Moose Lodge 646. He was a happy go lucky, good natured, caring and lovable man. He loved kids and animals. He adored his canine companion Abby. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Michael is survived by his loving wife Patricia and her two children Matt Johnson and his wife Melody, Pam Conaway and her companion Lorenzo West. Also two grandchildren, Justin Johnson and Cody Kidwell. He is also survived by a brother Charles and his wife Bonnie , two nephews, Michael and Jeffrey Zonko; An uncle, Earl Lingo with his wife Doris Ann of Georgetown, DE an Aunt Doris Williamson of Nanticoke, MD. Mike's mother, Kathryn Lingo Zonko preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be held at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Inurnment with military honors will follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Michael's memory to Wounded Warrior Project, 7020 A.C. Skinner Parkway, Suite 100, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
