NANCY R HUDSON's Obituary
Nancy Rilla Hudson, 76 of Millsboro, De went to be with the Lord Sunday, November 6, 2016 after an extended battle with cancer. She was born to the late Lester C. and Rilla G. Seyler in Carroll Township Pennsylvania on Jan 9, 1940. Nancy was married to Charles C. Hudson Jr. on November 21, 1964. Together they had 4 boys; Charles C. Hudson III married to Sandra Hudson, Eugene A. Hudson married to Carol Hudson, Rodney Scott Hudson married to Lori Hudson, and Paul K. Hudson all reside in Millsboro, De. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren Renee, Shannon, Samantha, Christopher, Danielle, Lily, Taylor, Ryan, Megan as well as her 3 great grandsons, Niles, Roland and Beau. She is also survived by her Brother George Seyler and his wife Mary Seyler as well as her Sister Nellie Lucas, as well as many other family and friends. Nancy's parents and brothers in law Mark Lucas and Paul Hudson precede her in death.
Nancy graduated from Baldeagle Nittany High School in 1958 then went to Eastern Pilgrim College for 3 years before marrying Charles and starting her family in Delaware. While raising her 4 boys and working at Stockley Center of Millsboro Nancy went back to Wilmington College and received her Bachelor's degree of Behavior Science in 1994. She retired as a case manager after 26 yrs.
Nancy was also known to be a great wife, mom and mom mom. Nancy is a lifelong member at the Journey Church, (Millsboro Wesleyan) where she played piano/ organ, taught Sunday School and volunteered just about anywhere she was needed. She baked many beautiful wedding cakes and frequently never charged a dime. She was known to be a great cook and could cook just about anything. Her hospitality and love towards others was so great that many, not just her family still call her mom today. She met most people through their stomach and she found her way in to their hearts.
Services will be held at the Journey Wesleyan Church 255 Wilson Hwy Millsboro; De 19966 visitation will be from 12-1 and service is at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2016. Burial and committal service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 14, 2016 at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, Delaware
