Obituary Nettie Wootten Ellingsworth
Mrs. Nettie Wootten Ellingsworth of Georgetown, DE passed away peacefully on Monday, April 8, 2019. She was 90 years old.
Mrs. Ellingsworth was born in Whitesville, DE to the late Herman S. and Carrie Scott Wootten. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband William Ellingsworth in 2012, her siblings, Hilda Wootten Smith, Denver Wootten, and Linford Wootten as well as her darling feline friend "Lucky"
Nettie retired from Diamond State Telephone and also the State of Delaware where she worked as a switch board operator. She was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church in Georgetown. She enjoyed caring for her cats, her yard and home. She liked everything kept neat and tidy.
She is survived by a son, Gerald Ellingsworth of Georgetown, DE and four grand-cats, "Kit Kat", "Kitty", "Jeff" and "Barney".
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may visit from 12 noon till 1 PM. Burial will follow at Millsboro Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Brandywine Valley SPCA, 22918 DuPont Blvd, Georgetown, DE 19947 or to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
