Nicholas Eugene Acord, Jr.'s Obituary
Nicholas Eugene Acord Jr., age 26, passed away on February 6, 2026. He was born on May 12, 1999, in Baltimore, Maryland, the beloved son of Nicholas Eugene Acord Sr. and Crystal Lynn (Hilliard) Acord.
Nicholas was a graduate of Sussex Central High School. Following graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 2017 to 2021. His time in the Marines reflected his strong sense of duty, loyalty, and dedication—qualities that carried through every aspect of his life.
Nicholas had a deep love for the outdoors and found peace in hunting and fishing. He especially cherished time spent coaching tee ball and taking his sons, nephews and friends on hunting trips. An avid motorcycle rider, Nicholas embraced the freedom of the open road and the sense of adventure it brought him.
Above all, Nicholas was a devoted husband, grandson, nephew, family man, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Brooke Nicole Acord; his children, Vincent and Beau; his parents, Crystal Lynn Acord and Nicholas Eugene Acord Sr.; his siblings, Kaila Martin (Sebastian AKA Seabass), Ryan Kortum (Lindsay aka Linda), Victoria Acord (Corey Word), and Rachel Acord; and his many cherished nieces and nephews: Bryson, Keegan, Addie, Sienna, Aubrey, Amelia, Walker, Alana, Blakely, Kaleb, Beckett, Isabella, Laken and Corey Jr. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends who will deeply miss his presence, laughter, and unwavering loyalty.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Watson Funeral Home and Crematorium, 211 S. Washington Street, Millsboro, Delaware. A viewing will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will immediately follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro, Delaware.
