Nomeersar Singh's Obituary
Mr. Nomeersar Singh of Millsboro, DE passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, March 27, 2017. He was 81 years old.
Mr. Singh was born in Georgetown, Guyana on September 4, 1935, to the late Mahase and Sookrajie Singh. In addition, he is preceded in death by his older brother, Komal Singh.
Nomeersar began working at the age of 13 in Guyana. He immigrated to the United States on July 31 1981. Nomeersar worked for Perdue Inc. for 25 years as a janitor. He enjoyed spending time with his loved ones including his daughter who lived in Laurel, his eldest son who lived in England and then Florida and his youngest son who lived in Canada. He also visited France and Holland. He loved to spend his evenings in his garden, watching cricket, and Westerns. He was a jester and loved to give everyone their own nickname.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Chandrakumarie Singh, his four brothers and sister-in-laws: Arjune and Jennifer, Bharrat and Gomatie, Bheem, and Neal and Shanta, his three sisters: Chan, Pran, and Sabo. His sons and daughter-in-laws: Tage and Radica, Balram and Baby, Lailey and Sanie, and his daughter and son-in-law, Liz and Richard. His grandchildren: Ashana, Amanda and her husband Vishnu, Nicole, Melissa, Savita, Andrew, Ryan, Julie, and Dhillon. He has two great-grandsons: Kenneth and Daniel.
A viewing and visitation will be held at Watson Funeral Home (211 S. Washington St. Millsboro, DE) from 6:00-9:00 pm on Friday, March 31, 2017. A funeral will follow Saturday, April 1, 2017, at 7:30 am at the Watson Funeral Home.
