Norma Lynch's Obituary
Norma Lee Lynch passed away peacefully on July 18, 2024, at her home in Millsboro, Delaware. She was born on March 25, 1934, in Salisbury, Maryland, to the late Reuben Marvel and Clevia Marvel (Wells).
Before embarking on her journey as a beloved mother and grandmother, Mrs. Lynch led a fulfilling career. Her early days were spent at NCR in Millsboro, where she developed a strong work ethic until its closing. She then transitioned to Mountaire Poultry for twenty years, before retiring to dedicate more time to her family.
Mrs. Lynch wholeheartedly embraced life in Mt. Herman and later in Gumboro, DE, after marrying the late Paul (Pete) Lynch. She is predeceased by her parents and husband, as well as her sisters, Nancy Gordy and Gloria Donohue. She is survived by six children: Michael Lynch (Donna), Larry Lynch (Norma), Joseph Lynch (Ginger Bradshaw), Bonnie Mason (Kenny), Robin Morris (Terry). And Reina Lynch; grandchildren: Melissa Wilkins (Brandon), LoriAnn Lynch, Loren Lynch, Alyssa Lynch, Joseph Lynch (Elizabeth), Joshua Lynch (Courtney Hastings), Jacob Mason (Faith), Shawn Bradshaw, Jason Bradshaw Zachary Morris (Morgan) Jessica (Evan) Leighann Hart (Brant); great-grandchildren: Pierson, Addison, Layton, Brayden Miller, Marlin Grace Hart, Willie Betts, Randy Betts, Olivia Drummond, Ariana and Leighanna Lynch, Cora, Cillian, Ashton, and Bowyn Ray: a great-great-grandchild, Paisley Betts; and step-grandchildren: Tracy, Jimmie, and Shawn.
An avid cook and baker, Mrs. Lynch's brownies were legendary among those who knew her. She nurtured her sharp mind with crossword and word search puzzles and enjoyed the simple pleasures of attending auctions and yard sales. Above all, Mrs. Lynch's favorite role was engaging in the lives of her children and grandchildren and loving her “Sweetie”.
A funeral service for Mrs. Lynch will be held at Watson Funeral Home and Crematorium, 211 South Washington Street, Millsboro, DE, on Tuesday July 23, 2024, at 11:00AM where friends and family may visit beginning at 10:00AM.
