Norris Archie Riggin, Jr.'s Obituary
Norris Archie Riggin, Jr., age 71, of Salisbury, MD, sadly passed away on April 10, 2025, in Millsboro, DE. Born on October 23, 1953, he was the son of the late Mary Smith and Norris Riggin, and step-father Ralph Long who raised him in early childhood.
A proud Navy veteran, Mr. Riggin served his country with dedication and was honored with the National Defense Service Medal. His post-military career spanned several years at Wonderbread and later at the United States Postal Service in Downingtown, PA, where his commitment to excellence and teamwork was greatly appreciated by all who worked alongside him.
An avid genealogy enthusiast, Mr. Riggin dedicated numerous hours to exploring family histories, ensuring that the stories of his ancestors would not be forgotten. His passion extended to visiting cemeteries in search of tombstones, a pursuit that brought history to life for himself and for others.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Riggin is predeceased by two sons: Timothy and Aaron; and two siblings: Claire Carfegno and Laurence Long. Mr. Riggin is survived by his devoted husband of 45 years, Michael Racz, with whom he shared a life full of love. He is also survived by his son Ralph; daughter Katharina; sister Beatrice Foley; two grandchildren: Corrina Stamper and Stone Riggin; and two great-grandchildren: Autumn and Jackson Stamper; along with many cousins and friends.
