Pamela I. Davis' Obituary
Pamela I. Davis, passed away on May 27, 2026, in Lewes, Delaware. She was born on April 4, 1963, in Lewes, Delaware, and was the daughter of the late Louis and Marjorie (Lee) Williams.
Pam dedicated her life to helping others through her work as a student advisor at SMS. She truly loved her job and cherished the relationships she built with both teachers and students throughout the years. Known affectionately as “Miss Pam” by many, she took great pride in keeping her closet stocked with clothing, school supplies, snacks, and anything else students may have needed. Her students always knew that if they needed something to take home or simply someone to care, they could go see Miss Pam and she would take care of them without hesitation. Her kindness, compassion, and generous heart made a lasting impact on countless lives.
You also may know her from Jay’s Market serving up ice cream, being the bus driver that would tell you quick “Don’t talk on my bus and Don’t put that window down”. Some would even call her the mayor of Frankford because Frankford will always be home to her. Helping the community of Frankford was always a big deal to her. That’s why she served 30 plus years on the Frankford town council.
Pam found joy in the little things in life. Hanging with her best friends (Shorel and Pam 2), taking short and long road trips with her daughter, dancing to the oldies and singing in the car with Tish. Anyone who knew Pam knows how much she loved being with her daughter and her scooter pie. She also loved her monthly dinner get together with her bus crew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Marjorie (Lee) Williams. She is survived by her daughter, Latisha Davis, and her brothers and sisters, Janet Johnson (BJ), Vincent Davis (Nancy), Jeffrey Taylor, Debra Taylor, John Monroe (Linda) and a host of nieces, nephews, extend family and friends.
As we navigate this difficult time, let us remember to celebrate Miss. Pam’s life and honor her memory by living our lives with the same love, humor, and kindness that she showed us. As Dr. Seuss wisely said, “Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened.” In this spirit, let’s celebrate Miss. Pam’s life, remembering the joy and love she brought into our lives.
