Patricia Gale Murray's Obituary
Patricia “Gale” Murray, 76, of Millsboro, DE, passed away at home on September 10, 2025. She was born on June 20, 1949, in Goldsboro, NC, daughter of the late Lloyd and Rebecca (Goff) Kirby.
After high school, Gale began her career as a dental assistant. She was high school sweethearts with the love of her life, Wilson James Murray, Jr., and together they shared 52 wonderful years of marriage until his passing on November 6, 2021.
Gale enjoyed traveling, working on puzzles, and spending time with her friends and family. She will be remembered for her kind spirit, devotion to her loved ones, and the joy she brought to all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson James Murray, Jr., and her siblings, Ernestine Vickers, Marvin Ray Kirby, and Lloyd (Jay) Kirby.
She is survived by her daughter, Wendy Mackert and her husband Lawrence; her beloved granddaughter, Addyson Mackert; her sisters, Darlene Harrison and her husband John, and Janie Walt; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Watson Funeral Home and Crematorium, 211 S. Washington Street, Millsboro, DE 19966, at 11:00am with a viewing from 10:00am-11:00am prior to the start of the service. Interment will follow at St. George’s U.M.C. Cemetery.
