Obituary of Mrs. Patricia Ann Webb
Patricia Ann Webb, 63, of Georgetown passed away on December 10, 2016 at her home surrounded by her husband and loving family. She was born on Oct. 2, 1953 in Dover, Delaware to the late Clay Elmer and Julia Fern Eskridge Waite. She was married for 46 years to the love of her life, and dearest friend of all, William Edward Webb, Sr.; together they raised three children. She worked at Stockley Center for 30 years, retiring in 2004. Patricia graduated from Delaware Technical and Community College with an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education and in Social Service Technology. She served as a Girl Scout leader for 15 years. She loved baking, craft sales, quarter auctions, the slots and doing Christmas gifts for needy families. Most of all, she loved spending time with family and grandkids. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children: William E. Webb, Jr "Eddie" and his wife Margaret, of Georgetown; and Tammy Long, and husband Shane, of Georgetown; and one sister, Sharon Cooper, also of Georgetown. She leaves behind nine grandchildren, many extended family members and so many friends. In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by a son, David Givens, Jr. in 2009; a brother, Clay Elmer Waite, Jr. in 1987; and father-in-law, Bill Webb in 1992.
A funeral service and Celebration of Her Life will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Noon at the Watson Funeral Home in Millsboro, DE where friends may call one hour prior from 11 AM till Noon for viewing and visitation with the family. Rev. Martha A. Tankard will officiate. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to either Mercy Medical Cancer Center, 301 St. Paul Place, Baltimore, MD 21202 ([email protected]); or to the Arbor Day Foundation (arborday.org).
