Paul Norval Garner's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul N. Garner, affectionately known as Paw, who found eternal peace and freedom from pain on April 3, 2024. He passed away surrounded by his loving mother, father, and sister, who assured him that they would be okay and encouraged him to let go.
Born on November 3, 1988, in Lewes, DE, Paul was the beloved son of Brian W. Garner and Michele L. (Whaley) Garner. Throughout his life, Paul had a passion for various pursuits, including chess, skydiving, debating philosophy, and music. He cherished the moments spent engaging in these interests and was grateful for the love and support of those who shared his passions.
Paul had a profound appreciation for the relationships in his life, acknowledging the unwavering love, assistance, and care he received from others, regardless of his flaws. He valued the laughter and joy shared with those who surrounded him and found solace in their companionship.
Paul is survived by his devoted mother, Michele Garner, of Millsboro, DE, his loving father, Brian Garner, of Crossville, TN, his cherished sister, Dawn Lewis (Russell), his beloved grandmother, Honora Whaley, and his adored nephews, Landon and Lincoln Lewis, all of Millsboro, DE, as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends, who will hold his memory close to their hearts.
Paul is preceded in death by his grandfather, grandparents, great-grandparents, as well as Ashley and JaPanda. Though he has left this world, he is now reunited with those who have gone before him, finding peace and comfort in their presence once more.
A remembrance of Paul’s life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you honor Paul’s memory by doing at least one of these things; volunteer at an animal shelter, adopt a rescue dog, help someone struggling, write a letter to someone and tell them how they’ve had a positive impact on your life, forgive someone who doesn’t deserve it, listen to music with a friend and relax, pay it forward (kindness), or make a donation to hospice.
