Obituary of Mrs. Pearl Lillian Jarmon
Pearl Lillian Jarmon, known as Lillian to most, passed away gently at Atlantic General Hospital on January 10, 2016. She was 83. Born on June 22, 1932 in Frankford, DE. She was the daughter of the late Avery and Beatrice Allen Johnson. She married Carlton Jarmon and together they raised a family of four children, and she held a career as a health care professional at the Stockley Center Hospital, retiring after 21 years of service. Her beloved husband Carlton preceded her in 2010. She was a faithful member of Zoar United Methodist Church. Lillian was devoted to her family, loved being with friends, and was known as a "senior social" and was a very caring, compassionate person, and was known for her giving spirit. She also cared for many sick and shut in folk over the years. She is survived by her four children: Jeanette McMillon, and husband Robert, of Frankford, DE; Brenda Jarmon, of Tallahassee, FL; Steve Jarmon, and his wife Rosalyn, of Salisbury, MD; and Machelle Jarmon, also of Tallahassee, FL. She also has two surviving siblings Louise and Joyce and one sibling, Iris who preceded her in death. Her legacy also includes her eight grandchildren: Terrence Postley; Lynette Sprowls; Martina McMillon; Robert McMillon III; Tracy Jarmon Woods; Tynill Jarmon Jones; Steve Jarmon, Jr; Brandon Knight; and 14 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her very special friends: Etta Moore; Vida Savage; Hilda Brinkley; Leamon and Margaret Taylor; Geraldine and George Feddiman; Edith Belmont; Bobby Powell; Pat Moore and so many more too numerous to mention. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Zoar United Methodist Church in Selbyville, DE where friends may call two hours prior, beginning at 9 AM. Rev. Timothy A. Duffield, Sr. will officiate and Interment will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery in Berlin, MD.
