Pearlis Isaac Jarmon's Obituary
Pearlis I. Jarmon was born on May 06, 1934, in Williamsville, Delaware, to the late Fred S. Jarmon and Ida G. Whaley Jarmon. Affectionately known as “Pap” by family and friends, he was the youngest of six children. He was preceded in death by his brothers Pete Jarmon, Floyd Jarmon, and Carlton Jarmon, and his sisters Reba Massey and Charlotte Mitchell.
In the early 1960s, Pap met the love of his life, Pauline Tingle, who was preceded by death in 2024. From this union, two children were born Patricia Tingle-Simmons (Isaac) of Awendaw, SC, and Derrick L. Tingle (Tameka) of Magnolia, DE.
Pap leaves to cherish his memory of three granddaughters Jasmine Tingle of Fond du Lac, WI, Sydney Coleman (Robert) of Culpeper, VA., and Patrice Simmons of Awendaw, SC. He is also remembered by two grandchildren-in-law, Talisha Palmer and Eric Floyd, both of Magnolia, DE.
Pap was blessed with four great-granddaughters: Adrianne Coleman, Kamiyah Coleman, Aniyah Coleman, and Madison Davis, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended loved ones.
Pap was educated in the public school system. As a young man, he enjoyed working alongside his father in the family’s landscaping business. He later became a master mechanic at a Ford dealership, where he gained the respect of colleagues and customers alike. His greatest professional dedication was to Highpoint North Condominiums, where he served faithfully for more than 40 years. Pap was a beloved and dependable presence there, forming genuine friendships and bonds with coworkers. He often spoke fondly of his boss, known to him simply as “Mr. Tom,” and the joy he had attending the company’s holiday gatherings.
Pap was known for his calm demeanor, gentle spirit, and warm sense of humor. Above all, he will be remembered for his unwavering love and devotion to his family—especially his grandchildren, whom he adored.
Pap will be deeply missed and forever cherished by his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Watson Funeral Home & Crematorium, 211 S. Washington Street, Millsboro, DE 19966.
