Perry "Carson" Cook's Obituary
Perry “Carson” Cook, passed away on April 22, 2025, in Lewes, DE, at the age of 69. Mr. Cook was born to the late Lola (Stewart) Cook and Perry Cook.
Mr. Cook attended Southern High School in Baltimore, MD. Early on, he honed his skills by working with his future father-in-law, at the age of 15, planting the seeds of what would flourish into a successful career in masonry. Mr. Cook swiftly ascended to the role of foreman with D&W Masonry in Denton, MD.
In 1982, Mr. Cook married his beloved wife Darla, with whom he shared a devoted marriage of 43 years. Their union blessed them with two children, Shannon Cook and Amber Cook-Pusey (married to David), who would bring into his life the joy of four cherished grandchildren. The spark of Mr. Cook's eye, he loved nothing more than attending their baseball & football games and watching his granddaughter play field hockey.
After moving to Delaware in 1990, Mr. Cook became deeply involved with Zoar Church in Millsboro, where he served as a youth leader for a decade, shaping the lives of many young individuals. A passionate fisherman, he was a familiar face in bass tournaments, indulging in his love for the sport.
Mr. Cook is survived by his loving wife, Darla, and their two children, Shannon Cook and Amber Cook-Pusey (David); a brother Steve Cook; four grandchildren: Zack Rowe, Jayden Rowe, Colton Pusey, and Clayton Pusey; brothers and sisters-in laws Doug and Sherri Damron, JR and Dani Liddic, Shelye Knotts and mother-n-law Ruby Knotts and extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Perry Cook and Lola (Stewart) Cook, and his brothers: Thomas Cook, Bud Cook, June Geisler, and Craig Cook.
A celebration of life for Mr. Cook will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Watson Funeral Home & Crematorium, 211 South Washington Street, Millsboro, DE, 19966, where friends may call beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private.
