Preston Lee Williams Jr.'s Obituary
Preston L. Williams, Jr. (Pep), of Millsboro, Delaware, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was 92.
Born on April 30, 1934, in Milford, Delaware, Pep was the son of the late Preston Lee Williams and Mildred Tingle Williams.
A hardworking and dedicated businessman, Pep co-owned and operated Williams Hatchery for more than 23 years. He also worked as a salesman for A. E. Moore for 23 years. Throughout his life, he believed in serving others and gave generously of his time to his community. He faithfully served as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for many years and volunteered with Delaware Hospice and The Christian Storehouse, where his kindness and compassion touched countless lives.
Pep was a proud member of the Millsboro Lions Club for 28 years and a devoted member of Grace United Methodist Church since 1954. His faith, generosity, and servant's heart were evident in everything he did. He will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to his family, his church, and his community.
In addition to his parents, Pep was preceded in death by his first wife, Vina Lee Williams; his sister, Carolyn Ward; and his brother-in-law, Bill Ward.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 21 years, Daisy Williams; his sons, Dan Williams (Maureen), Tom Williams (Traci), and Matt Williams (Cherie); his grandchildren, Lauren Williams, Megan Robertson (Scott), Michael Williams, Tommy Williams (Kelly), Tori Rhodenizer (Ethan), Trey Williams, Debora Williams, Liana Crowley (Tyler), and Melanie Kilchenstein (Matt); his great-grandchildren, Sadie Robertson, Taya Robertson, Lincoln Williams, Eli Rhodenizer, Isaac Rhodenizer, and Eden Rhodenizer; along with many extended family members, friends, fellow church members, and all who were blessed to know him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Watson Funeral Home and Crematorium, 211 S. Washington Street, Millsboro, DE 19966. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. prior to the start of the service. Inurnment will be held at Millsboro Cemetery immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Delaware Hospice in Preston's memory at 100 Patriots Way, Milford, De. 19963.
