RADA B BOWDEN's Obituary
Rada B. Bowden of Frankford, DE passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. She was 83 years old. Rada was born in Salisbury, MD to the late William H. and Charity B. Wilson Donaway. She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Charles Bowden in 2005 and also her 13 siblings. She worked as a Vaccination Technician for many years. Rada was a member of the Selbyville Assembly of God. She loved to cook, knit, crochet and cross stitch and was known for making the "best rice pudding". She loved to have lively discussions with her family. Rada was a very loving mother who took great care of her home and family. She is survived by four children; Jerry Bowden and his wife Shirley of Stockton, MD, Charles E. Bowden of Frankford, DE, Janet Bowden and her companion Dianna Jones of Frankford and Wanda Mumford and her dog Chase of Frankford; sister-in-law Elsie Taylor, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren along with her canine friend "Joy". A viewing will be held from 12:30 - 1:30 PM on Friday, April 18, 2014 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, with a graveside service following at 2:00 PM at Carey's Cemetery in Millsboro, DE. Rev. Linda Foskey will officiate.
