REBECCA LAYFIELD DONAWAY's Obituary
Mrs. Rebecca Layfield Donaway, of Millsboro, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2013. She was 85 years old. Mrs. Donaway was born on July 2, 1928 in Roxana, DE to the late Rodney C. and Helen Rickards Derrickson. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Orville Layfield in 1992 and her second husband, John Donaway, and three sisters. Mrs. Donaway retired from Stockley Center. She was a lifelong member of the VFW Ladies Auxilliary. Rebecca was devoted and lived for her grandchildren. She enjoyed going out to dinner with her friends and looked forward to spending Easter in Hatteras with her family every year. She is survived by three sons, Gary Layfield and his wife Cheryl, Don Layfield and his wife Diana, and Jerry Layfield all of Millsboro, a sister, Billy Jean Tuckmantel of Selbyville, nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the Dagsboro Redmens Memorial Cemetery.
