Rebecca Jane Everett's Obituary
Mrs. Rebecca J. Everett age 79 of Laurel, DE passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, March 20, 2017.
Rebecca was born in Wilmington, DE on July 2, 1937 to the late Harry and Annie E. Fulton Neave. She was retired from the University of Delaware where she worked as a receptionist and telephone operator. After moving to Laurel from Newark she also worked for Telemon Head Start at various locations across Sussex County. She was a member of Portsville Methodist Church in Bethel, DE, Red Hat Society, and the Laurel Garden Club. Her favorite pastimes included playing cards, gardening, cooking, traveling, and dancing. Rebecca loved spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 ½ years, Medford L. Everett of Laurel, DE; three daughters, Elizabeth Culver (Todd) of Greenwood, DE; Laura L. White (Ken) of Elkton, MD; Kristi Dobak (Robert) of Lewes, DE; a brother, Harry Neave of Wilmington, DE; two sisters, Ann Louise Foster of Newark, DE and Mary Neave of Wilmington. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; Kristyn Pipher, Brian Pipher, Carli Culver, Kenny White, Kelsey White, Matthias Kellner, Amber Kellner, Michael Dobak and Mason Dobak as well as seven great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call from 10:30 - 11:30 for viewing and visitation.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Vitas Hospice, 20773 Professional Park Blvd, Suite 200, Georgetown, DE 19947.
