Obituary of Richard Palmer Clifton
Richard Palmer Clifton of Millsboro, DE passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021. He was 88 years old.
He was born on May 20, 1932 to the late Carey and Ruth Hurley Clifton. Richard graduated from Georgetown High School and American University in Washington D.C. He worked for the Senate Campaign Committee and for Senator Barry Goldwater when he ran for President. After retirement he and his wife moved back to Delaware.
Richard is survived by his wife 64 years, Sallie Clifton of Millsboro and three children, Clark and his wife Joan of Milford, DE, John Clifton of Millsboro, DE and Beth Douglas and her husband Thomas of Stewartstown, PA. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren Danielle, Logan, Angel, Adam, Devin, Summer and Lillie as well as three great grandchildren Kylie, Stuart, and Paisley. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
