RICHARD CORNELL JOHNSON's Obituary
Mr. Richard C. Johnson of Millsboro, DE passed away at the home in which he was born, on Tuesday, April 7, 2015. He was 76 years old. Mr. Johnson was born in Millsboro, DE on October 5, 1938 to the late George T. and Nancy Ella Moore Johnson. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a sister Elizabeth Smith and a brother, Granville Johnson and a granddaughter, Michele Bryan. Richard, along with his wife Pat and their children owned and operated a farm. He was also retired from Delmarva Oil after 25 years of fuel delivery. He was a member of Zoar United Methodist Church where he held several positions including trustee, finance, and Sunday School teacher. He was also a past member of the Millsboro Jaycees and the Sussex Central Ruritans. Richard liked old tractors, especially his Oliver tractors. He was hardworking, and an easy going man who knew everyone and had no enemies. He loved his family and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patricia A. Johnson, four children, Robert Johnson and his wife Lou Ann; Thomas Johnson and his wife Monica; Stanley Johnson and his wife Linda; Cindy Pusey and her husband Craig, all of Millsboro, DE; a sister, Ruth J. Hudson of Millsboro, DE; nine grandchildren; Tamara, Bethany, Krista, Andrew, Brannon, Morgan, James Craig, Jr., Krissy and David along with Four great grandchildren, Lucy, Taylor, Michael and Dillon. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St. Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call after 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Millsboro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Zoar United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, C/O Carissa Pepper, 24491 Gravel Hill Rd, Millsboro, DE 19966.
