ROBERT JOSEPH DALE's Obituary
Mr. Robert Joseph Dale "Bud" passed away on October 27, 2015 at the Delaware Hospice Center. He was 82 years old.
Mr. Dale was born on February 20, 1933 in Selbyville, DE to the late Edward and Roda Dale. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Leila Drummond Dale in 1997 as well as three children, Vera Curtis, William Drummond and Kevin Dorsey, along with four sisters and two brothers.
Bud retired from Townsends after 40 years of service; he then worked for another 19 years at Bob's Marine. He was a US Army Veterans serving in the Korean War Era. Bud was a very quiet and a man of few words. He was a hardworking man who loved yard work, tinkering on his car and lawn mower. He was devoted to his family and loved his children dearly.
He leaves to cherish his memories fourteen children; Edith Eley; Alexander Dorsey (Linda); Glendora Faulcon (Oscar); Robert Dorsey; Gregory Dorsey; Sylvester Dorsey (Betty Jean); Kendall Dorsey; Terry Dorsey; Cynthia Smack (Michael); Juanita Taylor; Calvin Dorsey; Timothy Dorsey; Linda Dorsey; and Gary Dorsey (Catina). He is also survived by a longtime companion, Malissa Dorsey, a special niece, Connie Wise along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, extended family and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at New Holy Trinity COGIC, 1st Street, Millsboro, DE 19966, where a viewing will be held from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Interment with military honors will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 2, 2015 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
